Tobacco Observatory
A newsletter published three times a year that monitors
the relevant economic variables related to the Italian
tobacco market and disseminates information so far
confined to experts and interest bearing parties
such as the industry, the Tax Agency and the Tobacco
State Monopoly. Tobacco Observatory considers and
analyses the links between cigarette price and tax
level and legal sales and smuggling, evaluating
the consequences for tax revenues, for tobacco industry
turnover and for the sales of the distribution chain.
